How can dish still SELL 811/942 receivers on 1/30?

Something is really messed up.

Their web site still shows 811/942 recvrs 1 DAY before you can't activate them!

Who is in charge over there. Obviously someone has dropped the ball on this entire upgrade

you can activate them, and my money would be on all the current HD receivers receiving the new HD, Dish has dropped the ball on the new receivers and will most likely have to allow these new channcel to come thru

they will be mpeg2 anyways, so why not

You have to grasp the ball before you can drop it. Dish sometimes make me think their whole playbook is Hail Mary passes (with some runs for losses)

Yeah I felt a little bad yesterday when I got the weekly adverts in the mail. There were at least 2 for Dish Network, and they were still all of the old packages and receivers.

Of course I'd like to think that the installer would know better and when they call to confirm the appointment would explain what's going on. But I may be giving them a bit too much credit.
