I really wish they would DO AWAY with them.

I try to watch 3 of my out of market teams games ...
When they are playing a team from my local area, Detroit, Cleveland or Cincinnati ... Cincy is 3 hrs away, Cleveland is 2.5 hrs away, Detroit is 1 hr away.

I cannot watch Those games, even though I have purchased the package to watch my Out Of Market teams.

If I wanted to watch those game ... I would have to pay an addl. $45 each month.
$99 for the Indians and The Tigers and Reds EACH per year ... $99 yearly, $15 p/m
It's essentially me paying the RSN FEE .
Of course, I'll miss those series for my OOM teams, so I am missing at minimum 9 games

This makes the OOM price, actually pretty good at $149 for everyone (except those RSN local games)

I really can't believe they want $99 per team for a year.

In order to get the RSN games, those are on Fan Duel Sports Networks now, the old Bally Sports and various others prior to.

Newly designed bats, and the MLB doesn't need to approve something like that ?????

Yankees are the ONLY ones using them, Hmmmmmm.
The Cubs were using them yesterday...and still managed to lose.

Below is a list of MLB players known to be using torpedo bats this season:

Adley Rutschman, C, Baltimore Orioles

Jose Trevino, C, Cincinnati Reds

No word as to Who is making them .... Is it a typical bat company, say Louisville or one of the other well known manufactures ?
Or is it some company trying to make a name for themselves ?

Are they approved by MLB ?

This is the first I've heard of them.

So, it sounds like a company decided to re invent the baseball bat, so that more wood was available in the sweet spot, this is just OK for who ever to pick one up at the local baseball shop ????

There must not be any regulations ...
Whats next ... re build thier own baseballs for the Home Team ?

Baseball glove that are Sticky, to help in those crucial situations ????

Bring back the Corked Bats .... your doing the same thing with allowing these redesigned bats.

I don't like this idea ....

Manford is probably All for it.

Fwiw, I prefer to see a good hard fought game, say 3-2 ....
I don't like the 10-8 games.

They could be taking the Pitcher out of the game if this is the norm.

WTH, lets just have the pitching machine throw the game.

Until they finally Ban it.

I can't believe they are letting 2 entirely different designs for bat to be in play ....

Aluminum bats next (for some players) ???
Nope, it has to be wood.

Major League Baseball has specific regulations governing the bats used in official games to ensure fair play and player safety. MLB rules state that bats must be made of one piece of solid wood, with a maximum diameter of 2.61 inches at the thickest part and a maximum length of 42 inches.

Just watched the bonkers Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals game on AppleTV+ Friday Night Baseball. The fireworks were visible in broad daylight as the Cubbies hit two solo home runs in each of the first two innings. The Cubbies hit a franchise-historic eight home runs!

And to end the game, the Cubs saved their Bullpen and had one of the infielders pitch the last three outs. I have never seen that done in Professional Baseball before. As I said, Bonkers!

I was a little annoyed with that. The guy couldn't throw a strike without the blind umpire behind the plate helping him out. If they would have hit a home run with 2 outs it would have made the score 11-7. Council got a little too cute for my liking.
