model 921 dish dvr

I have recently bought a 622 dish receiver, and have my old 921 which now is no longer turned on by Dish network. Does anyone know if there is any way of making the 921 work just as a digital OTA receiver without being authorized (turned on by dish ?

as long as you have a cable line from the satellite to the receiver, it will work as OTA only. I use my 811 that way. I have a cable from 119 to the box so it keeps the satellite signal (and I get 101, NASA and Angel One too)
