Desire to move one receiver out to my shop on the rear of my property ~ 2500' away from the house where the dishes/switch/other recievers are located. Will a receiver funtion on it own switch and LNBs verses the common switch/LNBs it was installed with? Thanks.

Most receivers have a recommened cable run of no more than about 150ft. I've ran some that I'm sure were almost double that from the dish, in the house and through the house to the receiver. 2500' is quite a distance though. So you definitely will need another dish and LNB. No problem with Dish or anything as long as it's located at the same address on the account.

That is why the "CHECK SWITCH" function is provided. That allows the receiver to match up to the dish/switch it is connected to.
