Need help getting replacement remote to work for TV 1 on 722k

I just attempted to get my replacement remote to work for TV 1 on my 722k receiver. I followed the instructions, but when I hit record, I got a 590 warning, "You are attempting to set both remotes to the same address. You are not allowed to do this. Please select another remote address for one of the two remote addresses." How do I fix this?

open the front panel on the receiver and push the sys info button. Look at the screen and see what remote address TV1 is set to. Hold the sat button down on the remote until all the lights blink, then enter the number you see on the screen and push the # button.

I figured out what it was, I forgot to slide that switch in the battery compartment to IR. Edit: I just did as you said, and now I can control TV 1 remotely. Neat!
