If you are looking at signing up for Dish as a new customer you may want to keep in mind this upcoming promotion. If you sign up for Dish between July 17th and October 31st and subscribe to a minimum of the Top 120 Plus you can get the Multi-Sports pack for Free. The free period ends December 31st.

Hmm maybe its time to call and complain as a 14 year customer to get this sports pack free also... It would be nice for them to give existing customers things like this rather than a few free movie previews or the cinemax/hbo weekends free when I already pay for them :|

There is also a Flag offer. This is available to all new customers including DishNet. Must mention promo code FLAG at the time of sign up and you will receive a flag of your favorite college football team from the Pac 12 or SEC. Texas is also an option. This promotion coincides with the launch of the Pac 12 Network, SEC Network and the Longhorn Network.

I'm pretty sure they've been offering the Multi-Sports package for half price to existing subs for a while now. I've been meaning to do a chat with Dish one of these days and see what offers they have for me too.

We should get an Ipad free, package discounts and free packages. Every promotion that comes along all subscribers should get. Of course, then we will be subscribing to a different carrier because DISH will be out of business.......

You are not going to have to have this package to watch those college football networks are you?

I believe those networks are all in the Multi-Sports package. I'd have to double check to see if they are included in the Top 200 or Top 250. Regardless, the AT120 Plus would be the least expensive package to get all the sports channels.

HEY!!! Don't forget the PS4 for goodness sake!

The Pac 12, Big 10, and SEC networks are regional networks. That means you have to be in the geographic footprint of the conference and you will get the corresponding channel as part of the AT200 or higher. If you're in Los Angeles, you will get the Pac 12 and not the other two. If you are in Chicago, you will get the Big 10 and not the other two.

The multi-sport pack will get you all 3 channels regardless of where you are at. As for the Longhorn Network, I believe it's a national channel.

SEC network will be available nationally on Dish not regionally.

Looks like a good deal for new customers that that want Redzone, a football/fall promo, as I am sure others have, I have had multisport for the past year or so for half off

Your post is incorrect.... At the least the SEC will be national, along with LHN.

Normally that's how it would be done but I think those channels are available nationally. That may change though, as they should only be available regionally.

If they are set up like the Big 10 Network, not all games played by Big 10 teams are shown exclusively on their own network. For example, with the OSU Buckeyes, there may be 2-3 games that are only shown on B10N*. All of the others are shown on the local affiliate, ESPN, etc.

Every time this happens, there are repeated write-ups in the newspaper's sport section telling people how they can watch the game....

Are these kind of promotions posted on dish.com once they start or will I need to specifically mention this when I call to order? Also, is there a current promo going on that will be ending July 16th?

There is always a promo running but they can vary. There is nothing ending that I know of on July 16th, the things I mentioned are just being added. The Multi-Sports deal may be offered to you but the flag deal will require you to give a promo code.

Dish uses cookies to NOT show existing customers many deals that first-time visitors to their site see. Easiest thing to do is get the promo code (from here) and call.

Ok thanks. I really don't care about the flag deal, but I do think I am going to wait till the 17th to order because I was planning to order the multi-sports pack anyway so I can watch FSMW pre and post game when the NHL season starts.

Not a bad idea then.

HWS went bonkers...
