Slingbox Question

Well, Ive finally jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a Slingbox... Amazon has the AV version for $99 with free shipping (they are now back in stock)

Question: Is there any way to get the slingbox to control TV2 on the 622? I know tv2 is RF but is there something that will convert the IR to Dish's RF?

I would love to be able to take control of the second tuner (that way while Im at work or whatever I dont have to interrupt the kids watching TV

If not I will probablly have to hook it up to the old 510 in the bedroom...

Not yet. I have been told many times they are working to make TV 2 control also work via UHF, but nothing has been done as of yet.

I know a lot of Home Theater installers are looking for this feature as they install IR repeaters for installs.

I think Scott meant: "IR" instead of "UHF".

It looks like Sling has a new box coming out. It appears to be a cross between the Slingbox Tuner and the Slinbox Pro. Looks HD ready.

I have been hoping that now that the 622 supports an internet connection we will see some new features coming from the $47 million in funding that E* gave Sling Media. It would seem to me that E* would want to make TV2 work with Sling just to sell more Sling boxes.
