This is BS!!

At first I thought this was another DVR fee post.

I personally dont know all the specs on the 625 but I do not believe it has a OTA tuner built into it as much as I know about it. I was looking at Dish's PDF files to see if they copied one verbatim or sumthing but not going to read that much tonight.

No the 625 definately doesn't support OTA. There's no option in the menu's for channel scan or anything like that. This site tells people that a 625 has an OTA integrated ATSC tuner. The 625 is a SD machine and ATSC tuners are always, or let's say almost all the time in HD receivers anyways. I wonder how many people bought one there, and figured out, that they got screwed when it got there and they also bought antennas and hooked them up, but no such option as OTA on there. That just sux..

They just got OTA/CATV TV1 coax passthrough screwed up, bigtime there.

Most of the dualtuner SD receivers have said port, when TV1 is "off", the modulator turns off and becomes a passthrough for whatever is plugged into it.

The part where it states, ATSC tuner is in deed wrong and it doesn't even have a NTSC tuner. All it has is passthru so your TV set needs to have the proper (NTSC/ATSC/CATV) tuner.

If you're thinking of buying from them send them an email making them aware of the misprint. I hope people aren't buying the 625 in hopes to pickup digital OTA.

That's what I meant. This is false advertising! People that don't know their 625 as much as we do, will fall for it, just to figure out that they didn't get what they was hoping for, because it doesn't work that way. I still wonder where they got that from, that the 625 has a ATSC tuner. I never seen it in any review or description, or owner's manual.

Looks like a FBN operation to me and anyone who buys from that site is just asking to get screwed.

Any reputable dealer is going to put a little money into there site to at least make it presentable.

There are so many refer links in that site that I can't tell if its a legit dealer or someone trying to make money with referral links.

Look what else it says:

Record Off-Air Digital/Analog Broadcasts

1 COAXIAL TV OUTPUT

I have no idea what device they are talking about, but it surely is not a 625!

2nd Dish Install

i have low signal quality
