I have the HD only pack. On all the HD channels I get I also get the SD version. CNN is giving the SD version but USA and SCIFI are not giving the SD version. Anyone else notice this?

Several people have already reported this -- including me.
FWIW It is not clear whether this is a glitch due to Dish making the channels available late on Friday. Or whether this is a change in the dishHD package.
Note: CNN HD which was made available on Wednesday includes the SD version of the channel, as do all other HD channels (that have an SD version) prior to the SciFi and USA HD release.

I think it is a glitch. CNN SD took almost a day before E* fixed it to make it available to the HD Only pack. I know, cause I tried to compare the SD upconverted programming on CNN HD to CNN SD , and CNN SD was 'green' on the guide and 'red' in channel locks until sometime on Thursday.
Net is that E* fixed CNN SD sometime after making CNN HD available, so I'm betting they'll fix it for SciFi SD and USA SD.

Also, if you have a Pocket Dish, it will only playback SD recordings. Probably not a lot of people do this, but it is a reason if you plan to record something to watch later on a Pocket Dish or one of the new Archos players.
Because we may have SD receivers on our account for other TVs in the house that are not HD.
