VIP 211 & Bose Life Style:

I just upgraded to a Vip 211 and I have a bose lifestyle 28. The previous HD receiver didn't have a ir extender on it and the Dish guy said that the Vip 211 had one inside. I cannot get my Bose remote to turn the the Vip211 on and off/change channels.

Do I need a IR on the Vip 211? Or is there another solution?

Buy a Logitech Harmony Remote. Their database has the codes for everything and you have one remote control !!

My 612k works great with it..no programming required.
