VIP 722K w/ Sling Adapter ????

I have a 722K w/sling adapter. This past saturday night I was up at the lake watching the Nascar race on my
notebook computer. At 10 p.m the channel switched on me and went to Syfy (primeval). I could not get the race
back. I remembered that I had setup to record primeval at 10 that night.
If I remember correctly, the sling adapter uses tuner 2 as the source of slinging only. When setting up recordings at home the 722K defaults to using tuner 2 when setting up to record a show. I believe that this is what the conflict was and
why the sling adapter could not be changed to watch the rest of race.
Is there anyway around this situation or is it set in stone that you can not record any shows while trying to use the sling adapter remotely???

That happens to me as well, so I agree that may indeed be the case. What I would have done was to set the Nascar race to dvr and view it off as a recording instead of tv2.

You would not be able to Sling if TV2 is recording. You can change the Record Plus setting to record on TV 1. Here on the steps on how to do this.
