Will installers come out in rain/snow?

From my experiences they will come out if there are no inherent dangers. There was a post on here not long ago where an installer came to someone's house when there was 10 inches of snow. So I guess it will depend on your local installer. I would say they would still come out.
I have went out to do a service call in the pouring flooding rain. If the roads are bad I tend to play it safe and wait until they are clear.

When I did the service call it was to work outside. Man was I soaked. Anymore I will not go out in the rain if I can keep from it. The signal would be weaker anyways making it harder to diagnose the problem.
Our local DISH installers (Real Dish not subs) Cancel all installs if heavy rain or any snow is called happening. LAZY!
i know at my office we go out no matter what... i have seen them reschedual pms due to bad weather.. but that was in extreme circumstances
I will not go out when there is pouring rain or thunder, I did one last work for a mobile home customer, who is living at the farm, went there three times course no electrical but before snow nite, but the road already wet and icing on the farm road, my truck, unfortunity stuck in the mucky and lucky the customer is only few hundred foot away so I call the customer and he drove another truck and come pull my truck away from the mucky soil. that day, it took almost 3.5 hours for me to drive home which nomally
45 minutes drive time.
So, no work on rain or snow day.

Just to let you know it was down pouring and sleeting at times and the installer did the job today. he was pretty soaked. he actually took off one set of clothes in his van and kept it running with the heater blasting to dry them. I guess he brings extra clothes for days like this. He didnt have to stand on the roof, he put the dish at the bottom of the roof so just needed to stand on the ladder.

Its a wonder that some of the installers dont get sick then there would be more than just rain days that they wouldn't be doing the work.
i am guessing the installer would lose the money from the job if he didn't do it.
i would not ask someone to work with that stuff during bad weather.
sure if it is wet or snow on the ground i would do it. but if the snow or rain is coming down, that is a hazard.

We do! we just have to suck it up or take a PDO if we have them.. or not get paid that day...
Most of the time I have been able to wait until the storm passes because most of the time the storms around here are not an all day event.

Back on topic: I'm a broken old man - I don't do bad weather any more. Fortunately, as the office slug, I can pretty much choose when I have to go outside.
Let me put it this way: On our required tool list, a poncho is listed.
We just ask them to use common sense and be careful, if it's something that has to wait due to weather, IE: flooded crawlspaces, roofwalking, lightning.. so be it. But we send them out to try to get something done.
