NCAA Football 2007-08

If this guy is THAT good, why would he come back for another season? Why risk injury and a multimillion contract? I'm not saying he isn't good, (I only know him by reputation), but I just don't see anything to prove anymore, other than an improved draft spot by staying another year. But if he can run "circles around McFadden" as Ice says.....

he could run circles around darren mcfadden
Wow. Just wow. Considering they both average about the same per carry (5.9 for Smith, 5.7 for McFadden), I would say McFadden's is more impressive because of the defenses he faced. I'm not trying to take anything away from Smith, but the reason he had so many more yards than McFadden is because he had 111 more carries. It will be interesting to see what happens against Mississippi State. They held McFadden to 88 yards.

because, believe it or not, there are still athletes who put college and graduation first. a certain peyton manning and tim duncan come to mind. i admire the guy for staying.....he put faith in two people important to him....his mother and his coach. you know it isn't always about the money first.

I'm sorry, did I miss the announcement from either player stating they were staying in school?

I do think it is great that he is finishing school, but you would have to be out of your mind not to go to the NFL if your draft status was in the first round. There is always time to finish school once his NFL career is finished and by then there may be no need to finish.

but coach o' leary contacted some of his buds in the nfl for their opinion and they said smith could go anywhere between the first and fourth rounds. smith is very loyal to o'leary. plus, smith is very loyal to his mother who wanted him to graduate from college. hence, his decision to remain in school.

No idea,
I do know that a local company in town handles a 8 ft. version of Brutus, if your looking for one, I would suggest asking around with the guys in Columbus !

Jimbo

Thanks anyway, but I don't have to look far as it is - there are two in my neighborhood already. They keep me amused when they wilt during bad weather. :)

Good game on right now. Central Michigan just tied up Purdue with 1:09 left in the 4th.

Edit: Purdue just won 51-48 on a last second field goal. Hope all the games are like this.
