If I buy a remoteless 922 what are the chances of finding one?

Motorola is not making more I think.

How close is a 920 remote?

On another thread here today somebody said a voom remote would work ...or you could find that website for the Harmony remote, there's a search function where you can look up your device and see if their remotes support them. They have a huge database of supported devices, so I would think a 922 would be also.

I suppose the 920 remote would work. I don't see many of those either.

I guess I'm being kind of picky. I want one with UHF

Thanks migold. I don't know why I didn' think of that. As a matter of fact
I talked to Tom there the day before yesterday. It's logical that they would
have something.;)

there is a new one on ebay $60 shipped, there are some voom remotes, they will work, im guessing a starchoice would too

Well I just bought a new 920 remote from ATS. $49

Tom at ats said the 920 remote should work the 922 fine.

I guess that's not a bad deal.

Well I got the 920 remote from ATS. It's a nice brand new remote.
I was assured that it would control the 922 except for some aux function.

Well I found a couple functions that don't work so far.

Volume and mute. The 922 has a controllable audio output

That's probably not a problem for some but I need those functions.

The 920 remote does have volume and mute buttons but are probably for
TV etc.

Wonder if I can change the code to run the 922?

I had a 920 that had volume control.
I though there was a way to set / reset either the remote or receiver.
Try holding the White Sat button, should flash 3 times after 5 seconds (this is just from memory)

I programed my 922 vol and mute to run my tv's the main two are both Toshiba's so it works on both. There is a mode in the 922 remote to have the receiver run vol and mute. I don't have setup handy maybe someone else does, and can post it it may work on the 920 remote.

Thanks for that link lak and tvro :) Haven't tried it because the wife is watching tv and I don't dare

You mean I hold the sat button that you use to change satellites? Or the 4dtv button that changes from 4dtv(satellite) to tv and vcr?

I have a 922. And the remote is for a 920. I just wanted to be clear about that.

I'm not really sure if the 920 has an adjustable audio output. I know the 922 has one adjustable and one fixed output.
That's one of the things that helps me ID a 920 from a 922 when looking at the back. There are other differences too.

I'm just wondering if the 920 remote even has the codes to operate the adjustable output of the 922.

Obviously I'm going to have a chat with the ATS guy on monday ;)

Well I tried the sat button thing. Doesn't change anything that I can tell.
Still no volume and mute.
I think you might be talking about the 922 remote.
