(720P only and looks more like 480P), $1.99 for SD.
Netflix-A year after.
My advice, try Vudu if you are going to pay, same price as Amazon, great 1080P picture, almost Blu-Ray quality
VUDU is great.. I have to disagree about Amazon looking bad however, I can't be specific about AMC material, but I don't remember anything not looking good from Amazon on the Roku if the material was in HD, 720 or not.

Roku arrived Saturday 7/7 via USPS from CA.

I wish there were a web based capability from the Roku web site for managing channels w/ membership information and other items.

Did you sign in on their site. You can see your payment method and change it, add private channels, add/change your pin, change password, add/change shipping address, see purchase history, see list of your Roku players and name them, link additional players, and deactivate your account.

Question guys for some reason I can't see or find the unique code to link my roku to an account?

Any suggestions?

I have tried a factory reset that does not seem to help

The code shows up about half way through the Roku set up. I thought I would get it first to put into the website but you have to be on both to find it. Also for info, there is a great Roku android app that is much easier to shop the store. Really breaks down the free and paid stuff better!

Here's an example of the management capability that I'm talking about.

I have a Pandora account. It is kinda tedious to enter username and password with the Roku interface. It would be much easier to do this configuration on the website considering there may be quite a few additional different services to configure.

I do not see this kind of management options from the Roku site.

My Roku came on Sat via usps, never got an email with a tracking link like the rep said I would. It was ordered Tues night, Weds was a holiday so the earliest for it to ship would be Thurs. It came from Calif, only about 60 mi from where I live so it might have gone out Fri. and only took 1 day to get to me. However, I never got my $10 off for 6 mo. like I was told and I just got my bill. I just did another online chat, the rep said she would apply it right away and it would take at least 24 hrs. to appear. I did get my other credits (free showtime, and 1/2 off HBO).

Does the Roku their giving away have a USB port? If so can u play movies with a memory stick? Or does it have a Micro USB port? If so can u use it to play movies with?

If I understand, you are looking at backwards. It's the Pandora site that links your account to a Roku. I go to the Amazon Site to register it on the Roku, I go to HBO GO online to register it on the Roku. The Roku gives you a code that you input online, at the site of the company. I could be wrong I don't remember anything that needs to be registered done on Roku itself other than getting a code generated.

Once registered I just click and use it. HBO GO does make you re-register I think every 30 days to be sure you still subscribe with your carrier.

Thanks the placing of a pin in the reset area got it going!

If any more issues arise, Roku has an online chat similar to Dish that is very helpful of there is ever an issue that a member here cannot help with which is probably very seldom.

I was trying to power the roku off last night when I realized there is no power button. It doesn't burn much elec. at all but,it is always on.

Tampa, Pandora requires the account info be typed into the ROKU. There are other sites like this. What he is asking for is something I have long wanted, "Channel Store" on the ROKU account web site along with log-in linking for the channels that require the ROKU to log into the account directly (ie the Roku STB asks for user name and password)

Yep. Only on the top model. No idea what it can be used for.

There's apps/channels on the Roku that allow you to play movies and most video files through the ROKU. I find it convenient for showing some home movies or viewing pictures from my camera using my SD>USB card reader. A USB port used to be standard (along with Component jacks, Composite video, Analog Audio, Optical audio out, and ethernet) on all Rokus, but then again the base model used to be $100.

No USB port but the is a micro SD slot. Not sure if you can play things from it or if it is just for app memory.
