NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Who watched the LA-SJ game last night? Big win for SJ to tie the series at 2-games each. The Sharks dominated the first period, it was a more even battle the 2nd, and the Kings dominated the third period...but SJ held on for a 1-goal win. Great series, so far, and the pressure is now on the Kings as the plays shifts back to LA. Of course, San Jose always seems to choke so who knows what will happen. I'm only able to see these late games because I'm hope recovering.

Of course I did! I said from the day it was matched that I was very leery of the Sharks as they played the Kings tough this season. I am very concerned now.

Two things the Kings have going for them: 1) physical presence on the ice and 2) Sharks history of losing the big games. I don't much care for the Sharks, but I must admit that I feel for their fans.

I would be SHOCKED if the Sharks win this series. These two franchises seem to be the antithesis of each other in big games.....at least in recent history.

Even the Red Sox and White Sox won a World Series. Of course, there is always the Cubs...

The Red Sox won two (2004 and 2007). ;)

However, I do understand your point, but I would find it ironic if the Sharks challenged for the Cup as a 6 seed considering all their postseason failures as a favorite. They used to be my popular pick to win it all, but I frankly got tired of picking them (same thing with the NFL Chargers).

Maybe San Jose realized they needed to pace themselves and peak at the end of the season. We shall find out in the next few days. Elsewhere, how 'about Ottawa? That goal with 30-seconds left to play in game 3 has really changed this series...however, the Pens should still able to take care of business with the talent on their team. We shall see.

Someone stick a fork in the NY Rangers...they're done. Now, will a sweep of the Rangers be a good or bad thing for the Bruins? (i.e., will they get much needed rest or will they gather rust and lose their rhythm). I'm not sure, but it would probably be best if the Rangers won game 4 so Boston didn't get too much rest/rust.

Hmmmm, sounds like the dilemma of the Red Wings from years past, and the Tigers as well.

This is a very good question, and one I quite frankly have been struggling with. However, considering the Bruins struggles of closing out series the last few years (sans the championship year), I'm leaning towards the sooner the better!

I suspect they will be hoping the Wings and Hawks game is over by 10:30, I however would not expect it to be.

Basically means No Post Game show for the 1st game.
