"0" apps on new HWS

I just upgrade one of my Hoppers to a HWS this morning. After installing and activating the unit all the apps loaded immediately. I had to resign in to Pandora but it worked just fine. It is currently on SW 315.

Hmm. Looks like none of my apps work either. I installed mine last Tuesday. Mine is hooked up via Ethernet.

Mine is to arrive Wednesday, call it a hunch, but I suspect I will have the same problem. Will keep checking for solutions. Lol

Well, you can not call yourself a member of the club until at least after two or three days, so don't rush to judgement.

For the heck of it run a chk switch and see if when it downloads the data for the system it also triggers the apps to download. I'm thinking about trading in my 722k for a Hopper, so I want to know.

I am guessing this is just a snafu, I have loved the Hoppers, my other Hopper is the original has worked like a charm

As an FYI for some I guess it may take a few days (4-5) KAB's was connected around the same time I was so hopefully he will have apps today as well

I can't wait until tomorrow to start a new thread about having no apps on my new hws and ask for ways to force a download. There needs to be a "download newest software now I don't care if its only beta" button.

I got mine today and looked and i have the apps and they are working fine it appears.

I was surprised as we had a major lighting storm right as it was going online and lost signal for more than 30 minutes, it was flooding hard.

once it backed off things finished i got the guide up and didn't even think about apps. Just read this thread and looked and found them all there

but is this normal. All my icons on shows are the same thing. No thumbnail. I recorded a show to see if it added it after it was over and it's still the same thing. Am I missing something here ?

It will take a day or so to get your icons..... Very normal...

Unrelated to apps not working, first time I ever backed up and restored timers via remote. Very nice feature.

Very cool feature, I found out about it as well when I upgraded to HWS
