The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Tonight's bad pets part of the monologue nearly had me on the floor crying, as did Artie Langue's "parrot" joke. The show is solid. Still like Letterman better, though.

Jimmy's guest list for the week of 3/17:

Mo 3/17: James Spader, Kermit the Frog, Black 47
Tu 3/18: Lena Dunham, Hugh Dancy, Foster the People
We 3/19: Greg Kinnear, Emilia Clarke
Th 3/20: Billy Joel
Fr 3/21: Kevin Bacon, Jeff Musial, Ty Dolla $ign, Ann Wilson

Well I know I'll be watching Thursday!

Looks like Jimmy Fallon is still drawing the name number of people as both Letterman and Kimmel combined. And Seth Myers is getting the same numbers as Kimmel! This means that a very large number of people are staying with the Tonight Show after the halfway point.

Complete disclosure, other than the absolutely terrible theme song and really bad first show, I have come to really like Seth Myer's style too.

I think NBC hit a home run!

It would be the first homerun that NBC has had since " Must See Tv Thursday" nights early back in the last decade.;)

"Jimmy Fallon’s high ratings pushed David Letterman to retire, source says"
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...man-retire-jimmy-fallons-high-ratings-source/

It's exactly what I thought when I first heard the Letterman chose to retire. Kimmel is starting to beat Letterman in the 18-49 age group, though not yet in the overall ratings, and Fallon is killing both Letterman and Kimmel in the ratings getting more than double the combined ratings of those two.

Ratings for the last full week in March:
Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC): 4.306M total viewers, 1.33 rating in 18-49 demo
Late Show with David Letterman (CBS): 2.856M total viewers, 0.53 rating in 18-49 demo
Jimmy Kimmel Live! (ABC): 2.694M total viewers, 0.65 rating in 18-49 demo

I stayed with Fallon for a few weeks but switched back to Dave. And I have barely even looked at Seth's show.

Fallon is the new Johnny Carson with his tonight show. I see his ratings staying consistently high or even rising. Dave was smart to retire. It is way past time for the younger generation to take over the late night tv. Leno and Letterman's time was 20 years ago. Time for them both to move on.

I'm no Letterman fan but don't you think he has been thinking about retiring for a while??
A guy named Fallon forced him into retirement??? Please!
