Overview: [PLOT]Under the Dome is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. It tells the story of the residents of the small town of Chester's Mill in Maine, where a massive, transparent, indestructible dome suddenly cuts them off from the rest of the world. With no Internet access, no mobile signals and limited radio communication, the people trapped inside must find their own ways to survive with diminishing resources and rising tensions. While military forces, the government and the media positioned outside of this surrounding barrier attempt to break it down, a small group of people inside attempt to figure out what the dome is, where it came from, and when (and if) it will go away.[/PLOT][/SERIESWRAP1][TVPOSTER1]

In the book, the climate change went the other way, with it getting warmer.

That would make sense. If you cut off the out side air by the putting a dome over the city or town , that would create it's on biosphere and it's own weather too. It should get hotter and more humid too. The sun coming through the dome would heat everything up too.

I quit reading the book as I was getting it to confused, too many things different, one has people dead while the other has them alive.

I will read the book after the series is over maybe.

Possibly ...

Is the series gonna be renewed.

If it's not gonna be renewed, everyone gets out.

If nit is, then it could be quite interesting.

Personally, I think that this should be the way out and they end it. CBS can always do another mini series next summer that runs a couple of years again. This season has been one stupid effect each week. First no way to stop the dust storm, then blood rains down , then it's too cold and the dome is revolving and this week the dome is contracting and crushing everything. END IT NOW!

Mike, its just TV, fantasy at that ...
Watch it if you like it, change the channel if you don't.

It's just summer escape, and a helluva lot more entertaining than all the summer retread reality and talent shows. Not like it's trying to win an Emmy or anything.

I watch it every week, but I think that the story needs to be wrapped up. The endless catastrophe of the week stories wears thin. This series is better off with a beginning , middle and end. Dragging it out for more than two years it will just keep losing viewers and then we end up with no real ending or closure. There are enough stories by Stephen King that they could do a different mini series every summer and keep it short and sweet, the way a summer series should be.

Well, once ALL the townspeople have gone down that hole, I HOPE that Pennywise the clown is down there! lol

They could end the series right there, and it would be awesome!
