No-loss vs 1-loss teams. There is a big difference, and you know it.
Especially when each of them has beaten only 1 still ranked team (#17 Northwestern/#23 Miss St.), but beat the same team (Wisconsin), but only one of the has lost to a 3-loss team.

So big difference between the two of them.

Either way, undefeated ACC & Big Ten champs are a lock to be in (each still has to win their conf champ game though). The competition now is the other 2 slots for 1-loss champs, which right now look to be Notre Dame and Alabama.

I doubt it considering that half of the ACC loses to the other cupcake half every week and they have considered their games strong enough to rank one of them at #1.
Well, there's 4 SEC-ACC games this weekend (of which the ACC is favored by Vegas in 3 of them). So let's see what happens.

.
The difference between them will be who is number 2 and who is number three. I'll lay odds the one loss SEC team will be ranked ahead of the undefeated Big 10 team. Right or wrong, the perception the past few weeks is Bama is the stronger team, even with a loss.

The three locks right now, assuming these teams win out, are Clemson, Bama, and Iowa as the undefeated Big 10 champ.

The fourth spot is contested between ND and a possible Big 12 champ.

If Iowa were to lose, it may swing and be between ND and a one loss Mich state with the Big 12 champ (Oklahoma?) being the lock.

I hope McCoy is ok, just got to thinking he hasn't been around lately, and it shows that he hasn't logged on since the 7th.

well I would hope that you could beat SC, everyone else has. They are so bad the coach quit. But Im sure you will still crow after. Are any of the games against ole Miss/ Arkansas / Miss st or Bama? or just the weak SEC East?

Ole Miss & Miss St. are the Kentucky & Vanderbilt of the West, not exactly beating up other conferences.

The games are against Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Kentucky. All but Georgia are listed as underdogs.

I would disagree. Ole Miss and Miss St as well as Arkansas are very Physical teams that can beat people up. Infact Ole Miss has the next Suh on its defensive line. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Nkemdiche
He is unblockable at times and whipped Bamas O line.. But the point is that the SEC East hasnt been any good since Tebow left Florida. Georgia was vastly overrated as it always is. I still believe the problem there is the coach. SC stinks. Dont know much about Kentucky, they are typically irrelevant.

All this ACC SEC talk. None of that matters. Only one game matters and it pretty much decides the National Championship this weekend. The Iron bowl. :)

Most schools would be thrilled with winning a national championship or going to one. typically you dont fire those coaches.
I do not disagree, but there is growing frustration in not being in the mix for that natty the past few years, and losing several straight to Saban. They have higher expectations than a 10 win season, and while he is successful, he, in their eyes, is not delivering on that.

Reminds me an awful lot of when Michigan ran Lloyd Carr out of town and had to suffer through the Rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke era. LSU can, and probably will, do a lot worse than Les Miles. When a team forces out a coach because they haven't won a championship in a few years they often find themselves in a much worse position than they were before that decision.

Here is a 2013 ESPN article showing the results of several teams in the Big 10 doing similar things.

Toledo and Texas Tech both beat 5 loss Arkansas.
Memphis and Arkansas both beat 3 loss Ole Miss.
Miss St., hahahaha, didn't GT beat them last year? And other than the first half of last year (due to being highly ranked after beating A&M, who were highly ranked due to beating South Carolina who we all found out really sucked), have they ever been relevant?

They may be able to beat people up, they just can't beat them.

I will keep it simple. Your best ACC team would never make the playoff if you inserted them in the SEC WEST in any year of the last decade.
