625 L413 update causing audio problems???

Anyone with a 625 noticing a high amount of audio problems lately?

It seems like I've had the issue the last 2-3 days (i'd be watching a channel, then the audio cuts in and out and a few minutes after that is totally gone). Channeling up or down to a nearby channel and back to the original channel fixes the audio issue temporarily but it's a pain in the butt to do that 2-3 times per half hour.

DVR recordings seem to be fine so far - live TV watching is the problem.

I checked and saw I have L413 installed so I"m beginning to wonder if the new software is causing the issue. I've had my 625 since late October 2006 with none of this audio issue whatsoever until 2-3 days ago.

Have you tried doing a hard reset pull the power plug?

Dish Network is well aware of this problem. This has been a problem on my 522 for around a month - since the L413 update. Dish Network said the Engineering Dept. is working on a fix. The audio problems occur on TV2. I expect the problem to be more widespread once the L413 software is downloaded to more receivers.

Exactly - TV2. Forgot to mention that before.

I found a new issue today while watching 4 hours of DVR'ed material. I'd be watching my hour long show - about 40 minutes in, I'd be fast forwarding another set of ads and all of a sudden the DVR would quit playing my file (program). I go to the menu, select "Resume" and it'd play from the beginning rather than my 40 minute'ish mark. I FFWD to 40 minutes and resumed to end and all was fine. I had it happen 3 out of the 4 hourlong shows I watched today.

Time to take DISH Network engineering and give them a big boot to the head!

By the way, they will never roll the software back. Doesn't happen...

I guess we need to start charging DISH Network Alpha Test fees then (since we're the guinea pigs without wanting to be). I'd never asked to go to L413 - the old version was plenty good enough for me with only one quirk that I could find.

yep, they know about it

They know about it and have no eta for a fix. I have a 522 with the same issues. It has been going on since the update in november. I just switched to dtv since they still have no eta for a fix and are unwilling to do anything about it.
