B'ham HD locals are on 61.5 xpndr 29..so you know which one to look at, when recording the signal strength..

According to Techops it was just left off on the screen saver, and that was all there was to it..and as it was stated already turbo was for the 1080p VOD, and as far as the 150channels in hd; it says by end of the year..

you are an MPEG4 instal and any of the sd single tuner rcvr's will not work in your system...your only option for single tuners are the vip211/211k or vip612.

seeing the 722 only has rca or hd cables for tv1 you would be hard pressed to get 4 different channels out of the 2 rcvr's...

yes any thing you have recorded should xferable to the hard drive once the port is activated. I have not had any calls for problems on this as of yet, except when we had a clash the Seagate drives..

Has anyone ever been able to upload photo's from a camera of any type to a VIP series rcvr? If so what kind of camera and memory card did you use, and what did you do to make it load?

I do not believe that any Video On Demand content is transferable to the external drive. VOD is the only thing in 1080p..

all rcvrs are getting smart cards, it is due to piracy.

The answer that Sluggo gave you was correct, if they argue have them read the buisness rules in the dicontinued reciever program (located on the home page of CSC web)...

all rcvr's will have smart cards, all replacement rcvr's will have the new card in them..all rcvr card reader's are now active as of June..if you keep getting this message then you need to call tech support and see if you had a mailing of the new G3 smartcard..if you did and did not rcv them...

First I hope direct does better for them then we did..even though they used our equipment their service was worse, partially due to the lack of 24hr tech support.. I have no worries we will be here for long time...

looks like to me that you may need to have the lnb replaced, it is probably not the alignment. have you ever noticed the video freezing and audio continues and then the video catches back up- this happens w/an lnb problem. look at block B this is the number of signal losses in 48 hours...you...

hdtv's manufactured before 12/07 more than likely will not pass the 1080p compatability test.. this is due to not being 24fps. prior to 12/07 there were manufactured at 30fps and 60fps and maybe a few others speeds, there was no industry standard..Almost all hdtv's now are 24fps, which I believe...
