    TV Land timer issue

TV Land timers are generally kind of wanky. I always set a bunch of timers during the Holidays to record Christmas episode repeats and half of the time I get a different show, or I get only part of the show. If it's something I really want to watch, I'll add an hour padding before and after...

722 sluggishness, will it ever end?

I have found that when my 722k gets sluggish like that it's only with the IR "main" remote; if I just do a couple of things with the RF remote in the kitchen (e.g. show the guide, page up or down, exit), it's back to normal responsiveness to the IR remote. Works every time. No idea why. Just...

Anyone else having problems with new timers recording ALL episodes? (722)

My 722k has been doing it for over a week now; lots of decidedly old episodes (with episode #s and original air dates in the guide data) set to record, but yet not for every timer... just some. Deleting and re-adding the timer made no difference. I spent half an hour skipping all the junk...

722K users - picture quality compared to 722/622?

The 722k is noticeably better than the 722 when scaling (i.e. watching 4:3 material on an HD channel in Partial Zoom mode).

Rumor NO MORE!, SpeedHD, FX HD & More THIS WEEK! (NOW LIVE)

I'm fine with them adding it as an HD channel; Dish SD (a.k.a. Blur-O-Vision) leaves a lot to be desired and you just know, given how reluctant they seem to have been to even add this channel, they would have assigned Logo the lowest possible bandwidth they could get away with.

722K Screen Shots and Initial Setup Thoughts

Me too! Already had two occasions where it was recording 4 HD programs at once and they all came out perfect. And it's especially awesome not to have to pick and choose which overlapping OTA program gets demoted to SD anymore.

    OTA???

Got it. Thanks. So is the HR23 the unit they ship now? Or is it a crap shoot which one you will get?

    OTA???

After 15 years Dish has finally worn me out: 722k on order for 34 days and still not shipped - while 722 just died so I get to pay $15 for a replacement 722 because they couldn't manage to ship my 722k. Plus the Viacom HD fiasco, no Logo, no FX HD, only ONE local in HD... ENOUGH. I'm not...

How can they be so totally inept??

Dish managed to famously screw up my 722k upgrade, which I just cancelled. I placed the DIU order on 2/27 for a 722k and the MT2 module. They charged my CC that day. I called on 3/6 to request the RMA number for the old box and was told they had no record of my order. After 45 minutes...

722K Screen Shots and Initial Setup Thoughts

I'm in the same situation. I'll give it a try, but I'm not going to screw around with another God-forsaken 921 debacle: waiting in vain for fixes that never come. My 942 was good, but it had problems with adjacent channel interference on our low power HD stations, while OTA on the 722 has...

It's Here, the new 722K! Unboxing Photos

My DIU page on the Dish website listed the 722k as an option: Enhanced High Definition DuoDVR Receiver $75 Shipped $125 Installed And the guy I talked to on the phone was able to set it up with no problem. From my online account activity: 02/27 02/27 UPGRADE CHARGE $75.00 02/27...

It's Here, the new 722K! Unboxing Photos

I just did a DIU on Friday for $104.99: $75 for the 722k and 29.99 for the MT2, self installed. Replacing my 722.

SatelliteGuys Live Recap - Dish Retailer Chat 2/4/09

Plenty to bitch about if these new markets go the way of South Bend, IN. They "launched" South Bend with great fanfare - I received letters, e-mails, and even got a phone call - only to discover that just the NBC affiliate was available. No ABC, CBS, CW or Fox. I get all of my HD locals...

December 18th Dish Retailer Chat Recap

I love how they say South Bend/Elkhart now has HD Locals available: we actually got only one (NBC).

    South Bend Locals

Remember, the only South Bend HD station uplinked is WNDU-16.1. The other South Bend stations on 61.5 are MPEG4 SD.
