If you want to play blu-rays you might consider the V series. They have 24p playback on a 24 multiple (96Hz I believe versus 60 on the G) and thus have no juddering versus the G's.

FYI running slides......
Slides are simply meant to help evenly burn the phosphurs to get to a magic number (usually 100 hours or so). Feel free to watch TV, however stretch the 4:3 to fit the whole screen. Watch as much as you want, simply move the settings for contrast and brightness down...

Google this receiver. The HDMI board is above a couple of hot items and it literally fries the HDMI board. Usually around a years time. The warranty on a 606 is 2 yrs.
