New TSN channels on free preview on Shaw

They are on Bell as well. No free preview as it looks like they are in the basic package.

There basically on almost all providers in Canada except Videotron and Rogers Hamilton as it not ben upgrade yet.

Yep. I have the 'Select" package and they are in it. Nothing in the guide indicating free preview. So now, I have everything except TSN 2.

They've added them to compete with Rogers. TSN 1 is no longer considered the flagship national feed. Instead, TSN 1 is intended to serve B.C. and Alberta, TSN 3 Saskatchewan, Manitoba and northwestern Ontario, TSN 4 southern Ontario and TSN 5 eastern Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. TSN 2 will remain a national service. Since Bell and Shaw are national they all show up, but in many areas, cable operators could opt for just TSN 2 and the regional that serves their area.

So the TSN channels will look similar to the Rogers Sportnet channels. Lots of duplication and occasionally something different on one of the regional channels. As to whether Shaw will charge more, who knows? Apparently Bell as added them at no additional cost but since Bell raises rates several time a year, they'll get more money soon enough.
