DISH Network reports fourth quarter, year-end 2021 financial results

2021 revenue up most likely due to Boost Mobile, which wasn't part of Dish until later in 2020.

    Copy Remote Programming

When my remotes start wearing out, I purchase a new one, take both apart and move the old circuit board to the new remote. It's usually the rubber pads that wear out, while the circuit board contacts are fine. Using this method, no reprogramming is needed, as all the information is still on the...

Looking for ways to cut costs

I can guarantee that Root Sports NW IS included in the regional sports pack with Flex. I receive channel 426 in HD/SD on the other side of the state. Also using a 722K. Switched last year from AT 250+ to the Flex pack, no locals, plus national and regional sports packs.

    Ooma Offered By Dish

We've had OOMA for over a year and are very satisfied with it. Do not have the premiere service as we didn't feel that it would be of much use for us. For a little over $4 a month, it meets our needs. Much better call quality than the local monopoly phone company. No outages here. Connected...

Can my Dish Network DVR Pal record shows to an external storage device?

I use mine every day. The fast forward, rewind and skip functions work much better than the 722K. Too bad it was discontinued. I do most local recordings with the PAL. By the way, they're selling for upwards of $400 now on Ebay, same with the CM7000 twin. I wish I had purchased a few more...

    NWCN - Northwest Cable News

I've missed this channel since ditching cable in '99. Glad to see we'll be getting it here. I too hope it's in HD.

What are those colored buttons for?

I use them all the time. They don't have any function with the satellite receiver, but they work great programmed for other devices. I use them for TV and Bluray menus (left, up, down, right). Very handy to have.

About to pull my hair out with Dish this week.

Can you get locals over the air? If you can, hook up an antenna to the input on the 722.

Why no HD content on Fox Sports Northwest lately?

Yeah, make sure to check the higher channels. I usually find the FSN NW HD on channel 444. The HD channel at 426 pretty much shows nothing.

How to Program Hannspree TV for your Dish Remote

I went through this myself a couple of months ago. I found that the NEC codes (506) were the ones that work for the Hannspree. Added several functions through the learning process as well. I can confirm that this also works with the 21.0 remote.

    Fox v. Cablevision: STAGGERING increases!

I would hope not. Competition tends to be advantageous for the consumer. A D* satellite monopoly would not be a good thing. They could set their rates much higher or change their channel lineups as they see fit. That would leave many subscribers with only one choice: pay or receive nothing...

Suprise... DISH Changes Fee Policy in customers favor!

Dang! I should have waited 9 more days to switch programming. Maybe if I ask Charlie real nice, he'll give me my 5 bucks back.

New to DISH, 722K confused by interface

If you are watching a recorded program, and it is still in the recording process, you must stop the recording at the appropriate TV. By default, the 722 records to tuner 2 first in dual mode. So if you are watching a recorded program on TV1 that hasn't yet reached its scheduled end time on...
