    Smallest EMWIN antenna

You can always use solder paste and an oven to do your surface mount projects. It works way better than a heat gun. I don't know which SDR radio you are trying to use but those little usb ones with the separate antenna usually are around ten to twenty bucks and are pretty robust and have a wide...

    Geosatpro

Yes that is where I purchased the unit from. That site does not explain how to do ota update. I can figure it out but it just kind of concerned me that the manufacturer site is gone or not working. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

Is it just me or is the geosatpro website down or gone? I was trying to read about the satellite update info but the web site seems to be gone. Posted Via The FREE SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Slim dish too slim?

Not yet. I was just thinking about that. Its completely sealed but maybe moisture or a spider could have made it in there some how. I've tried swapping coax and bypassing the disec. Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Slim dish too slim?

No the superdish probably got probably half that. Im thinking the fss lnb is crapping out thought because I had it pointed at 83w and now the signal strength(93) and quality(75) goes from where it should be to zero about every second constantly. I hanv't touched it, just started doing it today...

    Slim dish too slim?

The arm was shortened so the new lnb distance would match the original lnb distance from the dish. Then the lnb height was adjusted to the correct height. If I didn't shorten the arm the lnb would have been too far away from the dish. Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Slim dish too slim?

Doesn't hurt to read. I had my super dish for years just moving it from satellite to satellite by hand. Figured I'd try something new this time. I learned a lot about fitting a new lnb to a dish though. Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Slim dish too slim?

I have not adjusted skew yet. Are there any sites that help with setting up multi lnb dishes? That was my original thought with this dish was to install 3 lnbs if I can. I don't know which satellites I wanted to point at yet. I need to do more reading on the setup portion but I'm not having much...

    Slim dish too slim?

OK I got it. I had to shorten the arm by 1 11/16" and lower the elevation a few degrees like u suggested. That got me 167 channels and 54 radio stations. Is that about what I should expect to see on 97? Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

OK got it. If I shorten the arm won't I need to raise the elevation of the lnb back up? Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Slim dish too slim?

I guess I dont understand why I need to move the elevation on the mount if I'm lowering the whole mount itself, its bottomed out in its scale right now. I just measured the distance between the feed horn and dish. Its about 2 inches longer than the original lnb distance. So I need to shorten...

    Slim dish too slim?

Well, I just moved it down 3/4 inch did a blind scan and nothing showed up this time. I must have been in a good spot before. I did a blind scan this morning before I messed with anything and got 16channels. Don't know why I didn't yesterday. Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

You are right! I don't know how I missed that one. It is exactly 1" higher. I will move it and try again. Thank you for pointing it out. About how many channels should I expect to see? Posted Using The New SatelliteGuys Reader App!

    Slim dish too slim?

Yes it is a direct TV dish. The feed horn angle and distance was made to match the original feed horn angle. I used a cardboard template cut to match the original lnb. I will post pictures tomorrow when the sun comes up. It did fine on 83w as well. The dish is about an inch shorter and about two...

    Slim dish too slim?

Hello all, I've got a slimdish with an sl1pll pointed at 97w. The problem is I'm only receiving a few channels maybe 4. I've got a superdish with the fss stacked lnb pointed at 97 also and receive much more than 4 channels. My lo is set to 10750 for the sl1pll. I have the micro HD hooked up to...

    83.0w?

I don't know exactly what you are saying. I can change the LNB type in the Coolsat my only choices are single, universal, OCS (which I have no idea what it is). Universal gives me two oscillators to adjust, OCS also does but the freq is much lower 5.15-5.750. Then single which I had set to...
