When you guys are speaking of "forcing the call"... I have a phone and connection menu that tells me when it last called in, when it will next and has options "test call", "change options" "update now".. I'm presuming that "update now" = "forcing the call", correct? All I'm getting is...

hmm.. from 3.1.1 to 6.2 will be a biiig jump. Hope it comes soon, so far my problem is that guide that takes up to 5 seconds to 'paint in' the program grid.. thanks

Besides speed, what does the R10 have over the DSR708, can you elaborate?

I just finished with them today, they sent a DSR708 instead of the R10, after two 'supervisors' I got nowhere. Told me "what they install is what you take, as we can't specify'. They were real azzes about it, although I was trying to be nice. Oh well.

Found that, it only lists the 3.1.1 tivo software the poster above mentioned.. No other firmware listed.

Where would one find the current receiver software revision then?

I just got the 708 also - requested R10 in the work order but the installer did'nt have any nor in their warehouse some 60 miles away.. Seems ok so far except the menus are sloooow.

Yes it's at the 101. I have an installer coming out tomorrow (Thursday) with a triple LNB dish, R10 receiver and all the associated bits and see what they can do given the LOS I have. Hopefully at least they will plop the R10 on the existing single lnb dish if nothing else..
