The Elite upconverts over HDMI but not over component cables. I am impressed with the upconversion performance. I think it look the same or better than my Pioneer Elite DVD player depending on the DVD... I personally think that the audio is pretty good when watching standard DVDs and it can play...

Maybe it was just the people you played with online that brought the multiplayer experience down :)

Yea sure enough no movie inside... So the PS3 comes with absolutely nothing inside now. Kinda sad. $636 with tax seems even steeper now :( . I will wait and see how Resistance: Fall of Man plays; but I may be making a trip back to Circuit City tomorrow.

I stopped at Circuit City today and they had 8 PS3 systems in stock. I ended up buying one. The box didn't have Talladega Nights listed on it so I am not sure if it is included still. Was it listed on the box launch day? Anyway I will have to let you guys know when I get home from work later today.

I picked mine up from circuit city yesterday. All I can say is wow. Pic and sound is really top notch. So far all I have watched is king kong. Waiting for a bunch of HD DVDs from netflix. Can't wait!

I think that these numbers sound right in a perfect world. But XBOX marketplace is far from perfect. There will be a bunch of people trying to get at the same movie at the same time. I think it will really jam up the server.

I don't disagree with you. The PS3 has better numbers than the 360 coming out of the gate. The only question that I have is do we really need that much power? It reminds me of someone who goes out and buys a top of the line computer and all he uses it for is to surf the internet and check...

Not sure of the model number. It came with the voom satelite service. I believe that it does need to be amplified.
