    LCD's should not have become tvs. HD/SD doesn't look that great on any LCD i've seen. your best connection available for SD would be S-video if you're not using an HD receiver. otherwise component or dvi/hdmi is available on HD boxes.

    BEND OVER!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: I just got off the phone with the call center. After I got an outrageous answer on my 942 inquiry I called back and got it again. .....$700 to buy a 942 is my only option. Nevermind that I drive their billboard, wear their clothes, install their service...

    Did you replace the 34 switch? I don't see record of it in your post, just that you replaced lnbs. Of course I am sure you used correct barrel connectors where you spliced ;)

    This is normal. The 942 has different software than the 510, and engineering claims the signal strength is based on a different threshold on the Linux receivers which are the models 322/522/625/721/921/942. All other receivers 301/311/50x/510/811 all register higher on the scale. I have a 522...

    Why not just leave it the way it was. You don't see them changing the Boston Celtics logo, or the Lakers logo and they're doing just fine.
