I have all of SBC's services and I save a bundle of money by getting a bundled deal. I have their phone services, SBC Cingular Cell, SBC Dish and their Dsl Pro Package with 3meg download. I pay around 150 per month..and I get 180 channels with Dish. Nice forum here...

I haven't received any letters about the price change yet...maybe when I get my next bill. I have mine through SBC though so it may be different. I got a bundled deal with SBC for having all their phone services, DSL. Cell Phone, SBC Dish etc.

Well, I am not sure if they are selling them. I lease mine and I do have to keep a phone line hooked up to it.

Yep..mine does it now and then. At first I thought it was a remote problem. It seems to fix itself after a minute.

I had a problem yesterday and they thought a tech would have to come out which they said would cost me 99.00. I switched to Dish for one reason and one reason only...cheaper price. If I had to pay 99.00 it would be stupid for me to stay with them because any savings would be eaten up by one...

I pay around 150.00 out the door for all of SBC's phone services, SBC DSL, SBC Dish with 180 channels and SBC cingular cell phone services. You get a break with the Bundled deal they offer.

I would get the 180 channel package with Dish and get the 522 system. You can control two sets with the one receiver. I am with SBC Dish so I get a bundled deal. I pay 49.95 a month compared to 65.00 I was paying to Telemedia for less.

PIP should work in single mode but you cannot tape and watch another show in single mode AFAIK....and I don't know a lot.:)

I can answer part of your question. In single mode you can watch a show on tv 1 and record a show to tv 2 at the same time. You can also use PIP.

I have seen them on tri-pods that were pretty high. You need to get an installer out to check it out. He may have some ideas. Also check and see if any of the other condo owners have a Dish and see where they have placed it. You will also need to know the condo rules but they cannot forbid...

I know some that live in Condo's and they usually have a deck that they attach it to. The others use a pole in the ground to attach it to because many condo places do not want it on the physical facility.

Is there a way to lock the title of the song being played so it does not move around the screen? I use PIP to watch some games and listen to music but the darn title gets in the way. TIA

Mine says, out of area but does display their number. It also displays the persons name if they don't have it blocked.

Yep..I just noticed the problem this weekend. It was like watching a badly dubbed movie...the lips would move and a second later the sound would start.
