Ok, setup with bridge now, and same exact result, the one hopper will not purchase ppv or vod, but blockbuster on demand works just fine. almost like the one hopper is defective in some way, both have same firmware.
Ok, new to the hopper and joey system but not new to technology, I work in IT for a living so on the network connectivity side I know whats going on, here is my issue, my living room hopper the wife wanted to rent a VOD movie, problem is it goes immediatly to the call 1 888 number for customer...
It is unlikely to have any "speed" advantage anywhere but in a manufacturer spec sheet, I have tested many different brands of these products and they get no where close in terms of speed as there spec sheets state, YMMV. I have seen WAY faster speeds out of 802.11 g and N wifi and I certainly...
Its called engineered (sometimes called Planned) obscelesence, I prefer the word engineered because its really what it is, makeing it last long enough to be considered a quality product but not long enough for it to last forever, making you buy another one and even if they were still selling you...
Same problem with the same receiver, persian long hair cat been laying on that receiver for a couple years now, no problems thus far, but your mileage may vary.
Curious how far from Indy you are, I am 64 miles north and am picking up most of the channels with a channel master Antenna 4228, only ones im not getting is 13 wthr and 4 WB, and I believe it has something to do with there power output at the moment (at least im hoping anyway)
Although im pretty experienced with such devices as well, this procedure will not work for this problem, the problem being all devices no matter what sequence they are turned on will require a resync when dish runs there little 1080p test to play the 1080p VOD movie, causing the whole chain...
This is BS, maybe for a select few it might be the case but my Mits 73833 and Onyko TX-SR805 were having the exact same issue night before last and nothing I did would let it pass dishes little test(both are positively 1080p/24 compliant).
The next morning I tried again and it magically...
I too had the problem with my tv not passing the stupid 1080p test all last night I kept trying several times because I didnt believe it and it kept saying didnt pass, well I know full and well that not only is my tv 1080p capable but it will also accept 1080p/24, its a Mitsubishi 73833 diamond...
Id just like to point out my take on the whole VOOM takedown, from the way I see it, it was simply a "good" business decision. A few months ago Dish offered the "extra" HD Package that was mostly VOOM for the $10 basically ala carte, I imagine what happened was a large majority (not necessarily...
This is why I stated a "good" surge protector, either a) you dont have a surge protector at all and its just a power strip or b) your surge protector wont stop a static charge much less a surge of any type. Ive worked in the computer business for a long time and it never ceases to amaze me how...
Not trying to hijack this thread but to the OP have you actually tested those speeds you are posting, give me a break, I also have used and tested many home plug devices (as well as some commercial grade equipment) and can tell you, the rediculous claims from wireless are true, but the home plug...
Im in Monticello and pull in most the indy stations using my Channel Master 4228 mounted about 20 ft up with a 74-99 % signal according to my 622 reciever, probably would be better if I used my TV's tuner. According to antennaweb.org im 62-63 miles from the transmitters.
I was skeptical of this as well, but I can tell you I also have a HD feed on channel 11 VHF and I just got the 4228 last weekend popped it up, not only am I getting HD channels that are 63 miles away (according to antenna web anyway) but I am getting my VHF channel 11 very well about 85 percent...
appears to have been caused by some very dense Fog, although I gotta say, we generally hardly ever lose our signal, snow or otherwise, and ive had dish for many years, must have been some extra dense fog this morning.
Im in Indiana, seems kinda odd they are both out at least to me. Do the LNB's ever fail, cant imagine what else it could be if its on our side and both receivers not working.
Wife just called me and said both our receivers are not working this morning, she indicated it started out with just going in and out and now its just out, we have a 522, and a 622 receiver, anyone else experiencing any problems this morning?
TIA
My company owns some licensed frequencies and so I get alot of info about other potential interference in and around the areas these licenses are in and I just had some papers come in my email regarding a new fcc license E is requesting in Monee, IL for a new frequency for a transmitter, anyone...
