SNR is back on XM! Only partime though. It is on channel 242 mornings broadcasting Czaban then Brando. Hope for more.

Now that Steve Czaban is with Sporting News Radio, how about putting SNR back on the XM side. I've wanted to buy a portable to go along with the XM I have in my car(OEM)but Sirius seems to have stopped making portables and XM subs can't get SNR. Come on XM,put SNR back!!

I had lost interest after the merger. However, I just bought a new Chevy with XM as part of the radio with 3 free months. Now I have been listening more than ever and when the 3 months free is up I'll keep up the sub in the car.

I did the same thing, took advantage of those great GM incentives(and after the stimulus bill passed, writing off the sales tax) to get a new 2009 Chevy with an outstanding built in XM radio and free three months.

Or maybe pays the money he made to TIVO:)

As someone who has subbed to both services since they both launched, the AQ has gotten worse on both over the years. I listen less to starad because of the lousy AQ.

And I was hoping for a Dave Clark 5 or Beach Boys station:rolleyes:

Hopefully, there will still be a satrad company by next baseball season. Not looking good, especially after the lawsuit filed against the company and management.

See if you can be added to the suit. I believe part of the suit asks for triple damages. Hopefully someone will go to jail. But don't be surprised if the company doesn't attempt to file for bankruptcy.

That is an interesting subject. I am a dual sub, with one sub from each service. I liked that because each service programmed similar genres differently. I was looking forward to the interoperable receiver to get the best of both services on one unit. Now the word is that they will be getting...

Could be the beginning of the end for satrad . Maybe a hostile takeover. Certainly a service that will become more cookie cutter, less innovative, and generally worse.

More wasted bandwidth. They have dropped some niche music stations and the SQ on XM has gotten worse over the years. I used to have 3 subs with XM and have dropped 2 mainly because of the lousy SQ. Quit adding garbage and improve the sound.:mad:

I'm unhappy with the way the SQ on XM has gone down since I first got the service in 2005 . In fact, I recently dropped the sub on my INNO which leaves me with one sub XM, one sub Sirius (and Sirius via DISH). If the SQ get any worse(Sirius isn't much better) I'll drop both subs.

I live in the S/W suburbs of Chicago and I get excellent hd reception. Blows away the aq from my three(2XM 1 Sirius) satard radios. Only my Sirius through DISH and then through my sound system is better:)

Don't forget HD Radio. I have XM & Sirius subs but that didn't stop me from getting a new HD Radio. I live in Chicago area and have an abundance of good HD2 stations with more onthe way. I'm sure sure most large cities are the same.

I agree with Alvarez. I think that whether they merge or not, satrad could be in trouble anway- alot sooner than a decade. I have 2 XM and 1 Sirius subs, but recently picked up an HD Radio. Here in the Chicago area there are 55 hd station and 19 hd2 stations(with more coming). AQ is much better...
