    OTHER Best Blind Scan Receiver

My outdated microHD, that is no longer for sale can scan a sat in 10 minutes. My year old V8 scans in about 4-5 minutes. I do not recommend a V8, they have a horrible user interface. Sent from my LG-M153 using the SatelliteGuys app!

Fortec BVN now on two satellites

I get Hope Channel at 11842/H/22000, and BVN at 12062/H/22000. You might try a few mHz up or down if you lnb has drifted a bit. Are you using your 1m dish right now? I agree with Magic Static that bigger is better when it comes to rain fade.

    OTHER C-Band on the tiny

I have tried my 90cm dish with a Titanium C1-PLL lnbf and conical scaler and have recieved a few Cband channels here and there across the arc, but it's not reliable in rain, or in the daytime. I could get the leasea channels on 99w, but only at night. I could get City TV on 111.1w, shopping...

[4DTV] Motorola DSR 922 as a FTA reciver

There are a couple channels in the clear on the DSR922. I'm not sure where the channels are since I don't have a cband dish. You can use the DSR922 to move the dish and control the polarity. The 3500 will also get you some channels that are DVB-S and standard definition. It won't get a lot...

    OTHER Possible setup?

Not really. I think there is 1 channel that is really low resolution that sometimes shows a 2 hour block from a channel, then a couple hours from another channel.

    [Viewsat] Viewsat Ultra Help?

Yes, using any thing to get channels for free is illegal. There is one open channel on 119. Scans in as channel 102 and 349 and shows different channel at different times. Right now it is showing something about Vietnam.

    [Viewsat] Viewsat Ultra Help?

There is no hack talk here. If you want to use it as a real fta receiver you will need a different dish, at least 30" but bigger is better. A 36"(90cm) dish would be better, and can be had for $100 (New). You wouldn't get any HD channels with that receiver, but it would be good for most SD...

    Which receiver?

The microHD has HDMI and red, white, and yellow(composite) for outputs. It's fairly inexpensive at about $125 and it has a usb port to add a hard drive or fast usb stick to record to. I've had mine for almost 2 years and I like it very much. It doesn't connect to the internet though like the...

    MicroHD stopped working

It's not dead but you need a cable to get it working again. I can't remember for sure what the cable is called. EDIT: It's a TTL/USB cable, check out this thread http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/threads/microhd-reboot-loop-fix-instructions.314623/
