2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Will San Jose and Pittsburgh closeout their series this evening or will Los Angeles and Tampa Bay take it to a game 7? I have no idea, but I am certain these two matchups will be hotly contested once again. Except for Detroit's sweep over Phoenix, this year's 1st Round action has been some of the most competitive I recall seeing in years.

Monday's Playoff Schedule

Pittsburgh at Tampa Bay- 7:00pm ET (Versus)- Penguins lead series 3-2

San Jose at Los Angeles- 10:00pm ET (Versus)- Sharks lead series 3-2

Lightning force a game 7.

There is nothing in pro sports like a game 7 in the SC Playoffs! (unless of course you're a Bruins fan)

Unfortunately, the Blackhawks game 7 won't start till like 1030 PM est.
So most won't be able to enjoy one of Sports greatest games.

I know, that's a shame.

I'll watch Sabres-Flyers game 7 (in between Red Sox-Orioles), but I will only catch a period or so of Blackhawks-Canucks.

Same here, I'll bounce between the Tigers and game 7..... btw, with the Wings ever play again ? Will they even know WHO they play before the baseball season is over ?

I'm looking forward to seeing what the Lightning bring to a Game 7 in the SC Playoffs. Also, congrats to Shark fans!

The NHL-unlike the NBA- reseeds after the first round, that's why it takes longer to find out a second round opponent. I go back and forth as to which format I prefer.

Umm, serious brain cramp when I posted this............Bruins-Habs will be getting my undivided attention tonight. DUH!!!

Tuesday's Playoff Schedule

Boston at Montreal- 7:00pm ET- Bruins lead series 3-2

Buffalo at Philadelphia- 7:30pm ET (Versus)- series tied 3-3

Chicago at Vancouver- 10:00pm ET (Versus)- series tied 3-3

Perhaps they should start the game at 4:00 PM local time, so it fits into your Eastern time zone schedule at 7:00 PM... ;)

That's because they are playing on the west coast, it's 7:30 their time.

Flyers game on Versus blacked out for me on Directv, FU Flyers and Comcast. Pathetic that a playoff game 7 would not be available to everyone.

Think I read that they will play either the Sharks or Nashville.

This is correct.

IF Vancouver wins tonight, the Red Wings will open in San Jose, and the Canucks will host Nashville.

IF Chicago wins tonight, the Red Wings will host the Preds, and the Blackhawks will go to San Jose.

Are you a Season Ticket Holder?

Did I miss anything when I was gone?
