For 4K movies can you download them and watch them later or do you have to have sufficient bandwidth to stream them? My internet is only about 20 mbps so doubt it would be fast enough to stream 4k content.

It does have the option to watch later, if you can get it started downloading.

Yesterday I was able to download and watch a 4K movie as it was streaming.

Today I also got the message about insufficient bandwidth on the receiver. My internet speed is fine, so I’m guessing it’s an issue with the receiver software.

You have three times as much speed available as I do. I think you’re right somethings up besides our Internet speed???

If this has been discussed already, just ignore me. Just noticed the other day that the 3 4K channels that I moved into my Main Favorites List 1 was gone. I went looking and see that they changed 540-3 from an HDR to regular 4K so it dropped from my list, I had to add it back in.

Strange it is HDR10 on Amazon 4k Fire Tv and HLG on Roku.
I had to tone color setting down and use Warm3 but still too saturated.
It is a bright pic though. Once the bugs are out I imagine 4k HDR live sporting events will ruin us all

I was pretty jazzed when I saw all the games listed on Amazon. But not too happy that it's only Thursday Night Football.

I use my TV at Cool1 (more natural) so all I had to do with the Amazon games is what I have to do with all their programming is adjust the color up or down a tad. Depending on the provider and the programming, I often turn of HDR and get a better picture.

I just scanned past that channel and the programming area on the guide it now says "HDR2". Not on the channel side though.

Today I was able to download and watch a 4K movie. Watched it while it was streaming and after about three minutes I paused it and it had buffered 45 minutes.

All is well today.

Is anybody else with a 1080i non-4K TV able to watch channel 540-01 on their H3?

I guess the H3 downreses the signal to 1080i?

Feeding my 11 year old Hitachi 57F59 RPCRT through a Sony STR-KS370 home theater system.

The picture seems clearer and sharper on 540-01 than it is on channel 150.

Maybe just psychological, knowing 540-01 is a 4K channel.

Yes, I'm feeding 3 other TVs from my H3 via the component output. Component out has it as 1080p which looks great on the other TVs.

So Flex customers don't get 4k even with a Hopper 3? I don't see ch 540 on my list.

Nevermind, just googled it. See them under on demand 4k section.

Watched the Texas/Kansas game today. Anyone else notice that sometimes the broadcasters don’t understand their microphones are still on as they mostly just show the field while the normal HD channel cuts to commercials? Today, one of the broadcasters before the game started was complaining about his job working in the area. Wanted to do basketball, etc. LOL.

4K feed is hot mike nearly all the way if not all the way, no commercials.

you get to sort of see what happens during the breaks.

Actually it's rare that the mikes are hot during commercial breaks. As AKGolf said, in the good old C band days, the camera guys used to entertain the guys back in NY by going to the "hottest" girls in the stands and the mikes were never muted on the announcers. You found out what they really thought of the just blown call in non broadcast regulated language. Some Aholes called in and complained which is when they went to the muted mikes and wide stadium shots. Not sure why they'd listen to people that were illegally watching priority non public feeds . . . There was one famous basketball announcer (can't remember his name) that used to have contests for the C-Band watchers during commercial breaks. Those were the good old days, Carson live to New York, then HBO threw the switch %#)(*^&
