What did you use to mount the 500 to the 1000.2 mast?

I'd like to find out what all I would need to do this with my 1000.

I am in a rental townhome so I have a 6ft pole out back that the 1000.2 sits on top of. I mounted the 500 and mast on the side of the pole. I can send you pictures, it was fairly easy. Hardest part was figuring out exactly what I was supposed to do as it was my first time.

Yeah, its a sep for 129. 119 is a lot better, I might can get 110 better, ran out of time and had to stop messing with the 1000.2

I will post some photos tomorrow.

I used self tapping screws but am going to get 2 ubolts to secure it this weekend. The self tappers are holding very good but I dont like the wobble, ubolts should fix it.

i am lost. can you explain how u did the install.

I have a 1000.2 installed on top of a 5-6ft fence post(E* installation due to being a renter). I bought a Dish500 with a Dish Pro Dual LNB(is only able to see one satellite) and I adapter that only holds one LNB instead of the Y adapter that holds a twin and the mast.

I mounted the mast under the 1000.2(about halfway down the post), made it vertically level and sat the 500 on the mast. All I had to do was line it up with 129(used a cable straight from the sat to the 622), then run a cable from the 500 to the LNB In on the 1000.2. I then covered the LNB for 129 on the 1000.2 with foil and ran a check switch.

The screen will show #1 as 110, #2 and 119, #3 as an X, and the Input as 129.

Good to go from there.

Ok, here are the pics. Keep in minds I did this after work tonight(impatient and ran out of time). Ill be adding ubolts to the 500 mast and resecuring the wires. Also the white cable is all I had and it will be replaced too.

Im a zip tie a holic. I started thinking about how I was going to keep the foil on there. Decided to wrap two layers tight and zip tie it :). Only thing I dont like the the foil is kinda ghetto!

Im going to actually drill holes in the mast bracket and use Ubolts, not too happy with the tappers. I know they will hold, but Id rather it be more secure as we get windy days.

i got you, cause in your 1st post you said u used I adapter instead of Y. so i thought u took down 1000.2 and put I adapter and installed dish 500....
yeah i do this type of setup all the time, cause in new jersey we have alot of indian customer, that need 615 with their dish 500.
