Any way to get around the $100 "upgrade" fee?

I already have the Dish Hopper system, but I'd like to get my Dad into it. He currently has a 722K and his contract has just recently expired. Any chance he could get into the Hopper without the $100 fee?

Best chance is to call and complain about AMC, get to loyalty, and see where it goes.

That's a good answer. Normally I would say see what a DIRT member can do for you, and you still can. If they can't get that reduced or removed, I would indeed try loyalty.
