Anyone making a spring FTA "to do list"?

Dryer vent

projects to do once it either gets warmer or the snow melts off the roof
-rerun a cable from the motorized to inside. Right now my "slave" cable is in two pieces
-move a few LNB's around on the T90 dish. Want to put 87 back on for the PBS stuff (now that the CS8000 decodes AC-3 in the box). Also put IA6/G26/T6 back on.
-redo the cabling under the deck and clean it up
-put compression connectors on the cables that have the twist on ends

But using Keith's theory, I'll do it all when its cold out. Working under the deck isn't bad when I'm doing laundry as the dryer vent is right there so we just warm up the hands with the dryer exhaust

:tux: Hello Iceberg: I haven't replied before so I doubt If you will ever get this. When we run out of oil we heat with the dryer. In regards to PBS and the disappearance of the Alaska stations. It would not hurt to look at a neighbor a little bit to the west.

Well, I got off my but this morning. I helped my dad dig 2 holes for post (4x4) with crossbar (4x4) to hang a "Punching Bag" on for his Great Grandson (my Grand Nephew). After that he held the ladder for me, while I escorted the Torodial 90 dish up on the roof of my sisters 2 story house/garage. So now it's on the roof. All there is left to do is hook every thing up. The hardest part now, will be contending with the heat in the attic and the sun on the roof, while running the cables. The worst part is over, my "Fear" of toting that T 90 dish up the ladder and onto the roof. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I also had someone there to laugh at me if I fell and didn't get to bad hurt, and be able to call for help if I did. Fortunately that didn't happen. Now I think I'll get under the Air Conditioner and take it easy. Maybe I'll get back on it this evening?

The heat is starting to be a problem in New Orleans, especially with the humidity factored in. Somehow, though, I'm going to have to find the strength to set up a CM 84E (courtesy of Stogie), and also rig up a workable OTA antenna for DTV (my new PC has both a Twinhan 1025 and a MyHD MDP-100 in it :) ). The indoor antennas just won't cut it, and a couple of local DTV stations are still down from Katrina damage....

I finished my third and final Spring project this week.

I have the family's setup in place and am still doing some fine tuning on their BUD. We finally turned off D* Network a couple of weeks ago.

I have added to the projects though. I am now setting up some stationary Ku Primestar dishes for both the living room setup and my setup in my den.

It never seems to end. :D

You finish 3 major projects, and you always see ways to expand, simplify, and make each setup better.

I have 6 lines coming in that aren't hooked to anything

today's project....figure out where the heck they go to on the dish farm :)

I plan to build a sturdier roof mount for my motorized dish, heavy wall tubing that doesn't crush when I tighten the motor mounts, and turnbuckles for fine tuning of getting the mast plum.

It's perfect weather up here! I got my self a cottage on the peak of a South/West facing hill over a lake, its got a perfect view of every bird I want for the summer! I hope to have about 8 dishes, a few SC ones and 2 BUD's..
