Hey guys,

I have always had audio dropout problems on HDNews, and after the "upgrades" at VOOM, I started getting audio dropouts on Rave, too. I talked to a friend that has Voom, and he told me that he doesn't get audio dropouts on these channels. Anyone have any idea what is going on here?

Thanks.

Hi Sean,

My partner said that he noticed audio dropouts Tues. but not last night on sat channels. However, while watching The West Wing last night I counted 3 or 4 dropouts which seemed about "usual" for me. I've reported dropouts before as we seem to have had them off and on for the year + we've had VOOM.

I recorded Shelby Lynne and Counting Crows the other night and the dropouts were there but funny thing, during playback the dropouts were less noticeable, like they were of a shorter duration. My theory is that the broadcast was DD 5.1 where the dynamic range is greater so the pop is more noticeable then the DPL 2.0 that it was played back in.

Love Voom but
