It takes a bmp file, you have to change it to jpeg.

okay!!! 4days and a whole lot of patience my 3rd BB is finally updated to 5.0.
I honestly don't have any idea what the problem was or how it all of a sudden took off and kicked in on it's own but anyhow let the BBM ing begin:up
