lol true, im already thinking of a 2.4 but i have a small yard so maybe id have to settle for a 1.8m but im really happy with the results from the upgrade.
i got the best results after 3 days of testing with the lnb flush on the 1st step of the conical scalar ring. ive tried it at the edge of the lnb and i lost 10 to 12 % quality.
On tp 3720 on 91 was my main testing tp. the max i got with the flat scalar was 60% with the conical on the 1st step 72%

Sounds like you're having good results.
So, you've read up on all the mini-bud threads?
I don't have to post any reading material for ya? :)

Oh, and that support guy from SatAv is really the boss, there. :)
Brian is a hell of a nice guy; I've chatted with him several times in the past.
Very generous and helpful.

I like that dish, too.
Particularly the way the mount works.
What sort of motor are you using?

lol yes i read up allot on all the threads and i even tried that theory of the socket in the flat scalar and that did nothing hehe. at 1st i was not too impressed with the upgrade but it was after i moved the lnb up towards the dish that my results got better and then even more when i put the lnb at the 1st step of the conical.
I think that its good to note that im up in Quebec Canada.
My daughter is watching the disney channel at the moment and im just really happy with the results.

Im using a sg2100 with the 50mm tube. i had to add two washers at the back, without the washers the u-bolts were too loose. i ordered a 55mm motor and i should get it this week, hopefully that will help allot. This dish is actually lighter then the winegard i had before so the motor doesnt have any issues moving it.

now that im getting good results with the c-band now i have to figure out the sidecar for Ku. I think that this is going to be a headache hehe.

I have the "cheapie" 180cm from WSI . At 69.95, It was hard to beat , if you have to BUY something. It was a definite step up from the 4 foot mini-BUD . Last week , I changed from a voltage controlled lnbf to a Dual Orthomode feedhorn, and got another step up in performance. I've even picked up the ABC 9/10 FEC feeds just fine with the new setup. If you go with a 180cm dish in the future, think about the additional upgrade later on. :)

I think the main advantages of miniBUDs are that they're small and easy to manage and can be used with an H-H motor (and therefore USALS).

Thank you for the update! The GEOSATpro 1.2M dish is definitely a performer and well constructed. Enjoy the new channels!
