Cable input on a 605 Dish DVR

I noticed that there is a place to input "cable" on the back of the machine. Is there a way to record on DVR cable TV programming with this input?

never heard of a 605... but the answer is no

If it is an HD receiver, you can record the OTA but may have to do manual recordings. If not an HD receiver, it is pass thru only and you will not be able to record anything from it.

He probably meant the 625. Like Garys said it's just pass through and you won't be able to record anything.
