Can 722K still get OTA after desub?

I know it needs a signal from the dish. And I know the guide data will not be there. But can a 722K or 722 still receive and record OTA after the subscription is ended?

once the receiver is disabled the DVR part doesnt work..the 942 **may** work for OTA since its older and record but dont quote me on that

Yet, probably worth it. It will be supported in the future- there is no future support for 942s.

Fooey. For $50 you can get an ATSC tuner card and record to your hearts's content. No DRM either. (I don't know this, but I suspect the DTVPal DVR doesn't make it easy to get at your recordings.)
