I know this was discussed, how to make the stb/remote go directly to an ota channel, like 44-3

Well, people said it wasn't important, since it just took a few more keystrokes to get there.

Well, I found a reason to need it. If you control voom, using something in a home theatre pc, and sagetv, then it cannot change channels to record shows on ota channels!

I am testing using stretch mode from to voom to svideo, going into the htpc with stretch mode and doing a forced expand in the sagetv program. Looks pretty good and gets me widescreen 480p!! Better than nothing!

But I find I cannot get the voom stb to ota channels from the pc.

Any ideas?

Not sure what HTPC can or cannot do. But with most programmable remotes (including Harmony) you can save a short macro for switching to a specific channel. For example, for 44-3, that macro would be: "4-4-OK-Up-Up" ;)
