dish 625 in rv

This is where it gets complicated and better for you to get a tech out.. The triplexer was put there instead of a seperator.

Yes and No.. Yes it is hooked up correctly.. But no because it won't work unless there is a diplexer at the other side.. On the triplexer. There is two blue stickers abd one yellow one.. Disconnect the yellow one.. If you can get the coax from the other tv hook it straight to where the yellow one was and it will all work.. But I am willing to bet there is a splitter in the line somewhere so it won't work..

The facts keep dribbling out.
The "triplexor". Is the triplexor "In" connected to the CH 21-69 output of the receiver and the triplexor "Outs" connected to cables marked #1 and #2?

Was this added with the 625? Or was it already there with the 501?

There is no reason for a splitter on the TV2 output unless you wanted to extend the UHF antenna. If the splitter is being used to send signal to the front TV (maybe #1) and the bedroom TV (maybe #2), then what is connected to receiver TV1 CH 3-4 output?

Nan300z will still need a separator to take the satellite in coax and feed it to the two Sat In inputs. With the sepatator, Nan300z won't have to run a cable across the floor.

I didn't see anything in the 625 manual that was obvious that the 625 would deal with a separator but I went back and searched the manual and found the reference in text, not in pictures. It took a while to find a real 625 manual, the one on the Dish site isn't for a 625.

Okay...Here is my two cents worth.....Hook up the Dish using seperator to input Sat1 and Sat2.....output TV1 with AV cable through video distribution box to Sat input on video dstribution box.....Output TV2 with AV cable through video distribution box to Aux input on video distribution box. Set video distribution box to Sat for TV1 and Aux for TV2...Using bedroom TV's own remote, change input til feed from satellite appears.

When you had the 501, you had a splitter most likely sending the ch3 output to both TVs. That splitter is probably still there, somewhere. One of the lines off this splitter is going to TV2.
You need to find this line and put it on the 21-69 output on the rec where the 3rd line of the triplexer is now

If you put the cable that is on the ch3 output you might get a picture on TV2 on 60 or 73, (whatever you have the tv, control box and rec modulaor set to) to confirm this
With all 3 lines of the triplexer connected you are just sending TV2 output up to the dish where it has nowhere to go

In the typical RV installation, there is no need for a splitter. There is a Distribution Switch that takes input form the Antenna Amplifier, the VCR output, a Satellite Receiver and an Aux and has outputs for TV1 (normally the living room or front of a motorhome), TV2 (normally the bedroom) and to the VCR input. The Distribution allows each of the devices to get a video signal from one of the inputs.

So yes there effectively is a splitter but it is the Distribution Switch.and the CH 3-4 Receiver output went to the Satellite Receiver input of the Switch. The Switch does not need to be removed but an additional line from CH 21-69 does need to be connected to, say. the Switch Aux input.

That does not account for why the "triplexor" is present.

Would love a Second Opinion

Lost Sat. 110 ....129 & 119 also weak.
