EHD Again

Well I have been copying shows off my H2K since I got the update.
It seems to be copying much of what I select but still errors out before completion, like the old 5 second problem but not on every show like it did before this update.

I will be happy when I can complete this task and send my H2Ks back.

Especially if your destination is near full you may have this problem:
The size of the transfer is taken as the sum of the sizes of the programs.
It thinks it has space equal to the sum of the empty spaces.
It then tries to transfer if the second is larger than the first.
However it expects to transfer to a single block, i.e., contiguous.
When the remaining contiguous space is not enough it will fail.
You can just try again and hope the remainder will find a large enough space.
Or you can do smaller transfers, preferably with the largest done first.

Ken that makes sense but I don't think it applies.
i am using a WD Green 2 TB drive with more than 1 TB free. I have tried 1 movie at a time with a dozen different movies. Some error at the beginning of the transfer, some mid transfer some near the end.
Also the system was very sluggish, slow to respond to up or down right or left, etc.
i just tried a red button reset to see if that helps.

i am confused since I was able to transfer at least a couple dozen movies, before this failure mode set in.

Well I gave up.
i left a half dozen movies behind and a few shows and deactivated the H2K and activated the HWS.
Now I will never know if or when the fix the transfer to EHD on the H2K.
On to S334 on HWS for a new adventure.
