News channels? Ha! Euronews plays the same block of stories over and over in a loop every 15 minutes or so (which are also available on their Roku app but you have to select the stories individually instead of them being played in a loop) and America's Voice shows mostly conservative radio talk shows and infomercials

As a person who likes to hear different viewpoints I am enjoying watching Euronews on channel 212 and France 24 on channel 222. I hope that Dish will add this to the America Top 250 package.

I don't see France 24 on my VIP receiver...even on all channels.

Oh, that’s the upgrade infection. Time to Hopper up, like TheKrell did!

While you think it over, try this sweet refreshing beverage. Take two, and we’ll also talk about Teslas!

Don't downgrade to the Hopper. France 24 is on channel 222 on the VIP superior receiver........

Euro News reminds me of the old Headline News, Euro style. Not bad as you can keep updated quickly. With the virus on the increase, many want to know what is going on in Europe.

To be clear I was making a personal observation about how I see the channel content, not passing judgement on their content or who watches them

I don't remember anybody here complaining about the aspect ratio, so I will! Both Euronews and France24 are SD channels which appear to be widescreen. But instead of being presented as widescreen SD, there are grey bars on either side of a squished picture. Looks ridiculous.

Dish apparently can't display 16:9 SD like OTA so we have to do it ourselves with display format. Euronews looks normal in "stretch" and F24 looks normal in "zoom" just like MeTV looks normal in "stretch"

I have the Vip 211k receiver and both France24 as well as Euro News are there
So odd...but it's not available on both VIP receivers. I do have Euro News but no 222 France 24. I can get it OTA on sub ch so it's not a huge loss.

I think that, whether you do this on your receiver, or on the TV itself, this will mess up all other SD channels that are broadcasting normal 4:3 SD content. So, this is a PITA to fiddle with the zoom/stretch mode both when going to 212 or 222, and then again once you go to some other channels.

I miss Headline News. They actually reported news and not political opinion like it is today with CNN, MSNBC and Fox.

I just program ''display format'' on the H3 to one of my remote diamond buttons...easy peasy
