I see that Galaxy 19 is at about 127 degrees today.

Is there a website that provides updates on the status of Galaxy 19 (testing, maneuvering into position, etc.)?
 
Do I need to do anything to begin receiving from G19 or will I automatically start picking it up?
 
When scanning with a Fortec Start Mercury II, will I continue to select Galaxy 25 Ku?

You can, or you can edit the satellite and change the name. The MII won't know the difference, ie same frequencies and TP settings.

Galaxy 19 has drifted past 97 degrees and seems to be heading toward 96 degrees (currently 96.51). It's speed is tracking at 0.01 miles per second.

The Galaxy 25 position currently tracks right at 97.0 degrees, speed listed as 0 miles per second.

Is it normal for a satellite to be "drifted" back and forth around the target position prior to settling down?
 
I hope all the channels haven't yet been migrated to G19.

If they have, then G19 is a big disappointment.

While I now have higher signal quality on one or two channels, many of the channels I watch now have signal quality so low that they break up and are, essentially, unwatchable.

I had to go to a secondary TP to get GLC today. I have been seeing some red code typed in on some channels, my guess something to do with testing?

Is it possible that the G-19 transponders are not yet optimized?
I too am sad to see the signal quality on 12177 & 11716 are both
way down on both my receivers.

On the Fortec Mercury II - 11716 is now: 50%
On the DVR-1100c - 11716 is now: 74%

11716 previously was: 60% on Fortec Mercury II
And use to be: 80% on the DVR-1100c

On the Fortec Mercury II 12177 is now: 38-45%
On the DVR-1100c 12177 is now: 67%

12177 previously was: 59-60% on Fortec Mercury II
And use to be 79-80% on the DVR-1100c

And now for the good: 12115 is now:

Fortec Mercury II: 43-54%
DVR-1100c: 73%

More good: 11966 is alittle better:

Fortec Mercury II: 41-49%
DVR-1100c: 68-69%

Previously, 11966 was my CELLAR dwellar transponder ; as having the lowest signal quality of all transponders on both g-25 & AMC-4. Previously:

Fortec Mercury II - 11966: 25-29%
DVR-1100c: 56-57%

It would always be the first one to drop out with any minor-major storm moving thru St Louis, Mo.

On a side note, I see the messages on vision heaven that normal broadcasting will resume shortly. I now also see vision heaven and the other 11716 channels on the new transponder: 11929 (or 11930) - V - 22000. I am getting 11929 with 52-59% quality on Fortec Mercury II and with: 81% on my DVR-1100c.

I must admit, I too am alittle puzzled by the rather low signal qualities of some of the key transponders. But its so new, I guess its possible that some transponders remain unoptimized, perhaps? Just a guess on my part.
 
Is there any possibility that the TP quality will improve on G19?

Many of the channels are dropping out under weather conditions that posed no problems when G25 was active.

Being a brand new satellite, doesn't this indicate some kind of problem?
