GAME ON! Echostar XI successfully reaches Geo-synchronous Transfer orbit!

Is there any way to block out these "Thank You's", all this sugar is making me diabetic.
FWIW I think the concept is wonderful.since it collects all the "Thank You" posts into a simple list that takes way less space than if they were individual "+1:up:" posts :)

We might as well have a reputation system running if we're going to do all this back patting for posting a comment. I had to ask WTH? when I saw P. Smith's thank you on a Question asked some posts back in this thread.

It's just another flavor of the weak...

Indeed. It is also at 133.6 degrees West, so just a few days journey (if that) to the testing site at 138.

While someone is doing that, why don't they have a setting to block out sig lines? Then how about blocking avatars? (especially the obnoxious animated ones)

Check your user options. You can turn off Avatars and Signatures.

In FireFox I have my animated graphics setting to only cycle once so I don't see the constant moving of the avatars. Drives me nuts as I speed read and the moving avatars makes it impossible to do so.

At 140 and essentially geostationary. Let the testing begin!!

My August 15 predication date for E-11 being operational at 110 W may not be too far off if testing goes smoothly. It certainly appears that E-11 will be operational prior to September 1 if there are no testing hiccups.

Those numbers look stale. The new TLE (16) shows the following:

Longitude: -139.7752
Right Ascension: 3:24:06
Declination: 6deg 43'25"
Altitude: 35,782.33Km (22,234.1 miles)

Looks like it is moving relatively slowly (3.072Km/second) and still in the wrong direction.

Thanks Digi. You just saved some of my sanity. I just unchecked "Play animations in web pages" in IE options and now all I get is 1 frame. I think some people just pick the most annoying moving avatars they can find.

The only thing I find annoying with turning off the animations is some weather radar loops only loop one time now ;)

And mashing the clutch to get back on topic... anyone know when E-11 will be at 138.5? I'm sure the FTA'ers and folks with spectrum analyzers will be scanning the skies looking for signs of life.

I see no signs of E-11 at 138.5 on the BLSA at this time.
